Our Work

The Stormz Community For Musical Arts is committed to encouraging people of all ages and abilities to become members and regularly get together in their local communities.  To form new friendships with like minded people and to promote mental health and well being through music, reducing loneliness and isolation and setting aside life’s challenges if only for a few hours or a day.

Adult Workshops

This is our latest project to bring together older people in the community who perhaps once had a passion for music or have always wanted to play alongside top musicians , even learn an instrument . Our studio is free to people 50+ and already we have seen a tremendous impact combatting loneliness and helping with a better mental health . Often older members are also carers for partners or family members and this simply gives them a couple of hours break to enjoy themselves, make music and meet other likeminded individuals in their community. Are plans are also to record these sessions to stream on YouTube, live from the cabin

Children & Young People

Over the last few years our Kidz Club has been extremely popular and we have seen so many remarkable changes in youngsters that have attended . Life long friendships have been formed, songs have been written and performed by the groups at theatres and care homes in their locality and with both our music and Art workshops confidence has grown with all individuals and a new love of the facilities we offer. We also have our own community hub where we have been able to deliver both guitar and singing lessons by qualified trainers and volunteers

Care Facilities

Hundreds of care homes have enjoyed our shows that we put together and created ourselves. These are now offered free of charge to all care facilities.

They are purpose made for residents with accompanying quizzes, exercises, resources etc, last no longer than 1 hour with no adverts or pop ups just pure fun and entertainment.

The Stormz Community For Musical Arts is proud to host and support community based activities, groups and sessions at our Community Hub in Merthyr Tydfil.  Affectionately known as 'The Cabin'.
